Freyer & Laureta Mission Bay North and South Redevelopment
Mission Bay North and South Redevelopment

F&L has been one of the primary civil engineering and surveying consultants to support the Mission Bay North and South Redevelopment, which has set the standard for redevelopment with the City and County of San Francisco. Our services include:

  • Infrastructure planning and design
  • Pedestrian, roadway, and parking planning and design
  • Stormwater planning and design including preparation of Stormwater Control Plans
  • Surveying and mapping including tentative and final maps

 

Freyer & Laureta University of California San Francisco Mission Bay Campus
University of California, San Francisco – Mission Bay Campus

As the master civil engineer, Freyer & Laureta, Inc. provides a variety of engineering design services including:

  • Infrastructure planning and design
  • Pedestrian, roadway, and parking planning and design
  • Assist architectural teams to develop the Project Design Criteria Bridging Document to be used by the Design/Build Contractor to complete the design and construction of the new Mission Hall and future laboratory, classroom, and residential developments

Also provided to the project by F&L: survey and civil design services including grading, site utilities, and stormwater management.

 

 

Freyer & Laureta Silicon Valley Clean Water
Silicon Valley Clean Water (SVCW)

Supporting the SVCW joint powers authority in a variety of roles, Freyer & Laureta, Inc. assists with the planning, design, and construction administration of numerous capital improvement projects. F&L’s responsibilities include:

  • Lead engineer for the extension of the 3W project
  • On the design team for the pre-design of SBSA’s five municipal pump stations, F&L performed all the surveying and will design the civil site designs needed for the replacement of these facilities
  • Lead engineer on one of the municipal pump stations
  • Performing various surveying for the facility and monitored tank levels for sedimentation tanks and settlement of existing forcemains
  • Lead consultant for the preliminary design of the Front of Plant Improvements that includes a new influent lift station and headworks

 

 

Freyer & Laureta West Bay Sanitary District, Sausal Vista Pump Station Replacement
West Bay Sanitary District – Sausal Vista Pump Station Replacement

Freyer & Laureta, Inc. was tasked with working on a multi-phase project to consolidate two remote pump stations into a single, larger pump station including modifications to the influent and effluent pipelines to reduce the potential of SSOs and improve the reliability of PG&E service. F&L services included:

  • Preparation of construction documents for the replacement of influent pipeline to address capacity issues, replacement of existing pumps and motors to increase pump station capacity, and rehabilitate existing enclosures
  • Providing construction management and observation services to confirm compliance with the contract documents
  • Coordinating with adjacent public agencies to secure required encroachment permits and repair public rights of way that were impacted by the necessary improvements

 

Freyer & Laureta City of Burlingame Storm Drain Projects
City of Burlingame – Neighborhood Storm Drain Projects

Freyer & Laureta, Inc. provides design and engineering services during construction for the City of Burlingame’s Neighborhood Storm Drain Projects. The projects are part of the City’s $30 million Storm Drain Capital Improvement Program. The neighborhood projects focus on solutions to alleviate local flooding and drainage issues. Project solutions include:

  • Removal and replacement of curb and gutter to correct drainage
  • Addition of new catch basins and collection system piping to convey storm flows
  • Rehabilitation of existing collection system utility cure in place pipe methods
  • Replacement of failing infrastructure

 

Freyer & Laureta City of Pacifica Wet Weather Flow Equalization Basin Project
City of Pacifica – Wet Weather Flow Equalization Basic Project

Freyer & Laureta, Inc. is the lead design engineer for the City of Pacifica’s Wet Weather Flow Equalization Basin (WFFEB) project. The goal of the project is to eliminate sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) within the City’s sanitary sewer collection system. The project includes:

  • 24-inch diameter influent conveyance pipe installed by a combination of open trench and trenchless methods
  • Two overflow structures to divert wet weather flows from the collected system to the WWFEB
  • 1 million gallon buried WWFEB including restoration of the Pacifica Community Center parking lot
  • Effluent pumps and forcemain to drain the WWFEB
  • Odor control system
